Branches Outpatient Programs
Highlands Behavioral Health System offers outpatient adult and adolescent services through Branches.
Branches, a service of Highlands Behavioral Health System, assists adults and adolescents struggling with mental health issues by offering an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) and Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP).
Outpatient programs are designed for patients stepping down from a higher level of care such as inpatient treatment and for people who are entering treatment and whose symptoms may not require inpatient care.
What is an Intensive Outpatient Program?
Branches offers an Intensive Outpatient Program, or IOP, that takes place for just a few hours a day for a few days throughout the week. We offer programs for adults and adolescents that include group therapy, development of interpersonal, coping and relaxation skills, symptom management and focus on self-actualization.
What is a Partial Hospitalization Program?
A full-day program that allows for patients to return home or to other living arrangements after treatment, Branches offers a Partial Hospitalization Program, or PHP, for adults and adolescents.
PHP takes place for most of the day from Monday through Friday and provides patients with structured mental health treatment that includes cognitive-behavioral therapy, the development of coping strategies and skill building groups.
